Tips from a photo shoot

I was so pumped to be on a photo shoot over the weekend with the fabulous Andrea Dorsey!! She was capturing some images of a lovely bride! Here is what we decided on makeup.

 Light, airy, sophisticated.

You can be natural and still be beautiful on your big day if you know what to apply and how to make it work!

Primer: Always, Always start with a primer, it keeps your moisturizer and /or facial serums locked in tight to your skin and will prevent your makeup from wearing off on to your clothes and it will last the night away! I try to use some sans silicon.

Foundation: Look for something moisturizing, be it a powder or liquid foundation you want it to have the dewy, fresh look.

Eyes: Neutral. Use something with a slight sheen under your brow and something matching your skin tone with a hint of pink or gold on the lid. Use minimal liner right on the lash line of the upper lid in a brownish gold. We used corner lashes to build up the outside of the eye..and tons of black mascara on the upper lashes only.

Cheeks: In this shoot we used minimal blush (I love a creme blush) and some bronzer to contour under the cheekbone. Normally you will want a rose to pink shade on the apple of the cheek.
Lips: We wanted those to POP..so using a poppy colored gloss and a lip stain in a rosey pink- the result fresh, just bitten look!

Can't wait to post the pictures of this gorgeous shoot! But for now Merry Christmas everyone!!
